New Zealand is going to help wake you with Olmecha Supreme. Lucky for me they filmed the Bebestyle video on Kauai, so I get to post about it in QuadMag. They call the sound Afro Futuristic Roots music. Be sure to check the schematica video one of my favorite.
From the bio, Olmecha is headed by world smyth captain Imon Star (son of legendary blues musician Taj Mahal). The live act features the brilliant Deva Mahal on voice and keys, and Myele Manzanza (son of master African percussionist Sam Manzanza).
