The long-time home of all that is sexy and un-sober has brought true the long-standing rumors and closed their doors after 25 years on the edge of Waikiki.
“It’s that strange random mix of people I don’t see anywhere else I’ll miss the most,” said long-time promotional maestro Flash.
So true… the silver-haired businessman dancing all night; the Real World Hawaii cast; the exotic dancers; the wino holding court on the bus stop out front; Dennis Rodman; the excellent staff… it was the people that made the place.

The Honolulu Star-Bulletin had a couple photogs on hand to commemorate the last Saturday, and posted a gallery including one awesome shot of a white girl seconds before going wild — and you know, you always gotta have one of those at the Wave. I mean, you used to always gotta have one of those– damn, I’m gonna miss that place.
