Part wildman, part love-child, the notorious FLX is back in Honolulu bringing soulful house and Latin grooves to the city where he got his start as a professional DJ. He’s currently based in Chicago, djing and producing.
According to Ms.Angel on the KTUH So Very Show, you can catch him Friday at Hula’s, Saturday at Wave Waikiki (same night as Dieselboy) and Sunday at Casa at Bliss Nightclub.
The Casa vibe is casual but energetic on the dance floor, a Sunday night service for the house-heads before the week begins.
“I was very inspired each time I check you guys out [at Casa],” FLX told Ms.Angel when he dropped in on the So Very Show to send a live set to the couch potatoes in radioland. “Lotta groove there. You guys are great DJs playing really good music.”
And he should know! Go see for yourself on Sunday. And Ms.Angel told me remind you: don’t forget the Sisters in Sound last-ever(?) party at Kai’s is this Friday the 13th, Sweet. As if those shochu drink specials weren’t tempting enough…
